Nothing earth shattering but nice to see Everwild is not cancelled or anything. It was announced on Novemwith a reveal trailer at the X019 event in London, 5 and a second trailer was released at the Xbox Games Showcase in July 2020. Asked about Banjo, just laughed and said gets asked for it a lot. As for what was featured at Xbox’s E3 2021 showcase, fans were pleasantly surprised with a number of announcements including the Xbox exclusive Starfield’s release date, Psychonauts 2’s release. Everwild is a nature-focused action-adventure game from Xbox Game Studios in development by Rare for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and Microsoft Windows. Sea Of Thieves has at least a roadmap for five more seasons, player base is 'massive' bigger than they ever anticipated at launch. Games at the tail end of development were mostly fine (not all though, like Halo Infinite) with minimal delays but games just beginning development or midway through development? Oh boy. Everwild is 'very different' from anything you've seen before. I really don't think people realize just how badly development was impacted by Covid. From Starfield to Redfall, and everything in between, here are the biggest announcements from the Xbox and Bethesda games showcase at E3 2021. Suffice to say, it had good reason for missing E3 2021. I have a feeling that without Covid, we would likely easily have Hellblade 2 in early to mid 2022, but given Covid and the fact that the game has a huge emphasis on things like motion capture and everything else, all while also working in pre-release versions of UE5 for the game would definitely make the development of the game pretty bad.Įverwilds is kind of surprising, but given what has been said about it, I can imagine that Covid has slown down it's development awhile too given that it's a passion project that they are experimenting with.Įlden Ring, I don't even know or care much about tbh so I can't say anything Due to the reboot, Everwild's new 'optimistic' release window is in 2024.
